Priyanka Chopra may have left Bharat but Katrina Kaif came to rescue the makers by joining as the lead actress at such a short notice. And Team Bharat is really thankful to Katrina Kaif for signing the movie. The lead actor of Bharat, Salman Khan himself welcomes Katrina Kaif taking to his Twitter and announced her onboard to the film in his very own style.
The director Ali Abbas Zafar told Hindustan Times, “We’re thankful that we had some time in hand. I think Katrina is our best choice, and I’m thankful that she could accommodate (this film) in the middle of whatever she was doing.”
Director Ali Abbas already helmed 2017’s blockbuster film Tiger Zinda Hai starring Salman and Katrina together, is all set to direct them again. He even revealed that Katrina like the script also saying, “Katrina is a very big superstar and I’ve worked closely with her in two films. I shared the (Bharat) script with her and she liked the role.”
It’s all Ali’s decision for approaching her in the movie.
Katrina Kaif shares a good bond with Ali Abbas as she has worked with him previously. Ali Abbas Zafar replied when asked if anyone suggested Katrina’s name for the film, “The way Salman sir’s and my vision is, we talk about everything. But he leaves the decision to me. Katrina was solely my decision, only for the reason that I’ve worked with her in two films, and her work was very nice.”
Ali Abbas Zafar had announced Priyanka Chopra’s exit from Bharat by tweeting last week where he mentioned that she had dropped out of the film for a ‘very special reason’ and she told the team in the ‘Nick of time.’ “I haven’t given away anything. It’s called the sense of humour. As I said in my tweet, Priyanka had made a choice, because something very special was coming into her life. With all our heart and happiness and love, we’ve only wished her happiness,” said Ali in the interview.
It all happened in the right way without bearing any loss to the production, Ali had said when asked about Priyanka’s sudden exit.
Bharat is expected to release on Eid 2019 which also stars Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi and Tabu.
