Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju already made it to the club of 300 crores and now has earned 341 crores at the box office after running 33 days long at the cinema houses. After defeating Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai, Ranbir Kapoor starer Sanju has now crossed Aamir Khan’s PK (Rs 340.80 crore) and become the all-time second-highest grosser.
Trade Analyst believe- the film will add at least Rs 5 crore more to its BO account before being taken off the screens. Sanju is Rajkumar Hirani biggest and the most successful film from past 5 years. Ranbir Kapoor is still riding on its success as the film is also his best and most appreciated by critics and as well as the audience.
Earlier Sanju had scored 50 crores at the box office in just two days, 100 crores in three, 150 crores in five, 200 crores in a week and now, it has earned Rs. 300 crore in two weeks. Even without releasing on any festival or holiday Sanju made it to 300. Despite all the backlashes, Sanju movie is an all-rounder, getting critically success, the audience applauds and even at the box office with all positive reviews. There will be no wonder if the film did the business of 500 cr as people are already hoping for the same.
Sanju showcases the Bollywood’s most controversial man Sanju Baba’s life story with all of the positive and negative aspects of his life. Ranbir Kapoor is a superstar now after giving an outstanding performance in the movie. He had left no stone transforming himself in Sanjay’s skin. A fil critic even said, “Ranbir Kapoor, slipping into the skin of the troubled Bollywood star, pulls out the stops in astonishingly effective ways, subsuming his own personality completely into that of the protagonist. The director is at the top of his game and the actor frequently soars to dizzying heights. It sets a new benchmark for Bollywood biopics. It will be a hard act to follow”.
Right now, Ranbir Kapoor is busy in the shooting of his upcoming film Brahmastra- director’s Ayan Mukerji’s dream project. The film will also feature Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and newcomer Mouni Roy in a negative role.
